We had heard a bit about vast expanse of wild flowers that are a special feature of summers in Switzerland. In the past, we did get a glimpse, but nowhere near what we got to see in Emmental, the comparatively low-lying part of Switzerland.

Terraced Vineyards of Lavaux
The terraced vineyards of Lavaux have been classified as UNESCO world heritage site. They date back to over 1500-2000 years. Filmed in the last week of October, this video covers a portion of the famed vineyards around Chexbres leading upto the village Saint-Saphorin that is located next to Lake Geneva.
